Educational Trainer

for Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) teachers

The job

Planning, customizing and delivering pedagogy sessions to Luminus’ TVET teachers to ensure they internalize key knowledge, skills, and mindsets to meet international teaching standards. Supporting a consistent application of practice and a culture of excellence in the use of technology enhanced learning through innovation across all schools in Luminus Technical University College.

Tasks & responsibilities

  • Training of TVET teachers, instructors and managers in the following subjects:
    • Fundamentals of education and educational competences:
      • Facilitation of the learning process (lesson planning)
      • Assessment
      • Learning partnership
      • Student centred design
    • Teaching and learning in the 21st century
    • Inspiring teaching and learning
    • Modern pedagogical models
    • Teaching using online and blended methodologies
    • Building collaborative learning communities
  • Training of managers to conduct lesson observations, teachers assessments and appraisals

Requirements

  • At least Master degree in educational science
  • Minimum of 10 years of teaching experience preferably in TVET
  • Experience training (of TVET teachers) in an international environment
  • Knowledge of and experience with learning management systems, virtual learning environments, blended learning and use of digital tools in education
  • Excellent communication, presentation and coaching skills
  • Proficiency in Arabic and English
